Mawelele Drops Highly Anticipated Album ‘PGLTM’ & Announces First South African Live Tour

South African singer-songwriter and pianist Mawelele has officially released his highly anticipated 16-track album, PGLTM (Pretty Girls Listen To Mawelele), via music powerhouse gamma. Centred on love, reassurance, forgiveness, and second chances, the project marks a deeply personal chapter in the Vaal-born artist’s musical evolution as he brings soulful R&B and Afro-pop to the forefront of Mzansi’s soundscape.

Heavyweight Features & Chart-Topping Singles

The 16-track body of work features a stellar lineup of collaborators, including Kwesta, Olivetheboy, Nomfundo Moh, Danya Devs, Ndu Browns, Tony Dayimane, Usimamane, and Empro.

Building massive momentum ahead of the drop, Mawelele’s single “Ngiyaz’fela” featuring Kwesta (produced by Kinglee Beats) surged to No. 3 on the Radio Monitor Top 100 Airplay Chart, with its music video hitting 1.7 million YouTube views.

Meanwhile, their viral hit “All My Life” has racked up over 23 million YouTube views, 19.7 million Spotify streams, and 4.1 million Apple Music streams, cementing Mawelele’s status as a dominant voice in contemporary R&B and Afro-pop.

“This album is very personal to me. It took almost a year to put together, a year of pouring my heart, my healing, and my truth into every record,” says Mawelele. “With PGLTM, I wanted to make love cool again. To bring it back to something pure, intentional and soft in a world that can feel so hard. I want people to bathe themselves and their loved ones in love and grace.”

In partnership with Blu Blood, gamma. will produce Mawelele’s first-ever headline South African tour, bringing PGLTM live to stages in Durban and Johannesburg this December before expanding nationwide across Valentine’s weekend in 2027.
