Following a glamorous European getaway in Milan during Fashion Week, The Pink Table by Brutal Fruit brought its signature celebration of friendship, fashion, and summer energy straight to the KwaZulu-Natal coast. Hosted at the scenic The Manor House in Sheffield, the Durban edition invited women to gather their besties, dress up in their finest shades of pink, and take their seats for an afternoon dedicated to pure belonging.
Fresh off an Italian journey that took South African competition winners and creators from the Barbara Rizzi fashion show to Villa Regina Teodolinda on Lake Como, the Durban experience proved that wherever The Pink Table sets down, its spirit of sisterhood travels with it.
Unlocking the “Pink Table Magic”
At the heart of the event was a simple yet powerful intention: creating space for women to connect, elevate everyday moments, and feel an absolute sense of belonging.
“The elements I think that are non-negotiable to give us that Brutal Fruit magic at The Pink Table is number one, connection,” explains Candice van den Bosch, Brand Director for Brutal Fruit. “I think it’s so important that we create a space where all of the elements ask: is this going to bring women closer together and help them to connect in the day?”

For Brutal Fruit, elevating simple moments into extraordinary experiences is central to the movement.
“Number two would be elevation,” van den Bosch continues. “Brutal Fruit’s known about taking the ordinary and creating something that’s extraordinary. And lastly, belonging. We want our ladies to leave feeling like they’ve made even more connections, more friendships, and that life feels a little bit more joyful.”
Ultimately, the event represents far more than an aesthetically pleasing setup.
“It’s not just about a table,” van den Bosch adds. “The Pink Table is a mindset. It actually really is anywhere that sisterhood or friendship is the occasion.”
A Star-Studded Pink Carpet & Pamper Moments
On the Pink Carpet, Ayanda G Thabethe captured all the glitz, interviewing guests about their style, their besties, and their favorite summer trends. Among the high-profile crowd were The Real Housewives of Durban stars JoJo Robinson, Ayanda Mthembu, and Andile Pieterson. Actresses Kwezi Ndlovu and Asavela Mqokiyana added extra screen glamour alongside top creators Lisa Mhlongo, Lisa Nyongo, Pearl Khambule, Zinhle “Machokie” Nkabinde, Mandisa “Mandy Careswa” Kheswa, Priyanka Moodley, Petunia Katane, Leah De Gois, Candice Mkhize, and Zoe Mbokazi.
Between photo-ops and Brutal Fruit toasts, attendees enjoyed custom touch-ups courtesy of new official makeup partner Benefit Cosmetics, alongside soothing pamper sessions from Mangwanani Spa.
