Oskido’s Big Day Out is turning up the volume ahead of its anticipated third edition this November, announcing additional headliners alongside an official partnership with FNB.
Joining the 2026 lineup are legendary duo Durban’s Finest (DJ Tira and DJ Sox) alongside pioneer DJ Cndo.
Reinforcing the festival’s commitment to local music diversity, this year’s edition pays homage to Durban’s rich dance-music legacy—spanning from the foundational Kwaito era to modern house and electronic sounds that have defined Mzansi culture over the past three decades.
Celebrating a Musical Legacy & the Order of Ikhamanga
Taking place on Saturday, 28 November 2026, at Huddle Park in Linksfield, Johannesburg, the two-stage festival serves a dual celebration:
- Oskido’s Birthday: A milestone celebration for the Kalawa Jazmee co-founder and industry icon.
- National Recognition: Honoring Oskido being awarded the Order of Ikhamanga by the Presidency earlier this year for his contribution to South African music and culture.
FNB Comes On Board as Official Partner
First National Bank (FNB) has joined the festival as an official partner, anchoring two legacy-focused South African brands.
“Music has a unique ability to bring people together and create lasting memories. Oskido’s Big Day Out celebrates artists whose influence and success have endured for decades, reflecting the importance of longevity, relevance and the lasting impact of strong foundations—values that closely align with FNB’s commitment,” says Philani Potwana, CEO of FNB Private Core Banking and Credit Card.
“Big Day Out has always been about bringing people together through music,” adds Oskido. “This year we are taking that experience even further. We have incredible artists from different eras, two stages and now a partnership with FNB that allows us to create even more opportunities for people to connect, celebrate and make memories together.”
