If there is one thing we know for sure, it is that Saso’s Marquee Experience knows exactly how to set the standard for premium lifestyle curation. Returning to the Hollywoodbets Durban July for its third consecutive year, the award-winning marquee completely outdid itself by blending high-end African design with the country’s absolute biggest music heavyweights.
For 2026, the marquee leaned heavily into the event’s “Country Allure” theme, transforming its entire space into a breathtaking runway of contemporary African luxury.
MaXhosa Africa Makes a Historic Durban July Debut
The definitive highlight of the day belonged to iconic design house MaXhosa Africa. In a historic move, the brand hosted its first-ever fashion showcase at the Hollywoodbets Durban July, unveiling its stunning new Atelier collection directly on the marquee’s runway.
The design house did not stop at the clothes. MaXhosa Africa completely dictated the visual identity of the entire marquee by dressing the interior with their premium homeware and furniture collection. Bespoke couches, rugs, cushions, and umbrellas lined the venue, creating an unmatched aesthetic that merged heritage design with high luxury.
Adding to the visual spectacle, global dance phenom Robot Boii made a surprise runway appearance, fusing his signature energy and choreography right into the middle of the fashion showcase.

Kabza De Small and K.O. Keep the Audio Flawless
The sonic landscape of the day was equally packed with star power. Amapiano kingpin Kabza De Small locked down the headline slot, delivering a massive set that kept the premium crowd moving.
The lineup also featured heavy-hitting performances from hip-hop veteran K.O. alongside Sykes, DJ LeSoul, Benny Maverick, DJ Feel, and Goldmax.
Outside of the high-energy club sets, vocalist Zawadi Yamungu delivered a beautiful, moving performance during a dedicated Stella Artois cultural moment, showcasing raw African heritage and identity through her music.

High-End Dining Meets Fine Champagne
To round out the 360-degree sensory experience, Chef Tuladou teamed up with local favorites Rajah, Knorr, and Robertsons to engineer a massive Harvest Table packed with bold, seasonal African flavors.
With Moët & Chandon raising a celebratory toast to three years of Saso’s Marquee excellence, and heavy backing from partners like Hennessy and Mercedes-Benz, the event successfully solidified its reputation as the most exclusive cultural hub on the racecourse circuit.
