HONOR officially introduced the HONOR 600 Lite at a high energy launch in Johannesburg, turning a product reveal into a full lifestyle moment that blended sport, content creation and culture.
Hosted at The Campus in Bryanston, the event brought together some of the country’s most recognisable names, including Hope Mbhele, DJ Tira, Thembi Seete and Ayanda MVP, who broadcast live from the event on YFM.
A Launch That Moved With the Moment
Rather than a traditional showcase, the HONOR 600 Lite launch was built around real life experiences. From courtside action to spontaneous content creation, the device was placed directly into the hands of creators and personalities, allowing it to capture the day as it unfolded. Sporting stars like Themba Zwane, Ronwen Williams and Vincent Pule added to the energy, blending competition with content and keeping the crowd engaged throughout.
Built for Content First
At the centre of the HONOR 600 Lite is its 108MP ultra clear camera system, designed to deliver sharper detail and consistent results across everyday moments. Paired with an AI Camera Button, the device allows users to capture, adjust and shoot instantly, making it ideal for fast paced environments where timing matters. Whether it is a quick courtside snap or a content moment on the move, the device is built to keep up without interrupting the flow.

Power That Matches the Pace
The HONOR 600 Lite is designed for full days that rarely slow down. With a 6520mAh battery and 45W HONOR SuperCharge, the device supports extended use across content creation, streaming and social sharing without constant charging.
According to Fred Zhou, the device reflects what local consumers are looking for.
“The HONOR 600 Lite brings together premium design, performance and real value in one seamless experience. We are seeing strong interest in AI content creation tools and longer battery performance that fits into everyday life,” he says.
Designed for Real Life
Beyond performance, the device leans into design and durability. The metal forged unibody frame delivers a slim, lightweight feel while maintaining strength, supported by drop resistance and durability certifications. A 6.6 inch full view display with ultra narrow bezels adds to the immersive experience, making it suitable for both content creation and consumption.
Availability
The HONOR 600 Lite will be available in South Africa from 24 April 2026 in Sprout Green and Velvet Black, retailing at R8999 with additional promotional offers across major networks.
