Malondié and Vaseline Cera-Glow Unite Fashion, Skin and Self-Expression at Exclusive SS26 Experience

Luxury fashion and science-backed skincare merged seamlessly at Pere House in Midrand in August 2026 as Malondié and Vaseline Cera-Glow hosted the Malondié SS26 brought to you by Vaseline Cera-Glow showcase.

Gathering South Africa’s top celebrities, media personalities, fashion icons, and industry tastemakers, the landmark event celebrated the unveiling of Malondié’s Spring/Summer 2026 (SS26) collection while highlighting the essential role healthy-looking skin plays in completing every high-fashion look.

“Follow The Glow”: Honoring Resilience and Self-Expression

Hosted by award-winning media personality Pamela Mtanga, the immersive showcase went beyond a traditional runway activation to demonstrate Vaseline Cera-Glow’s role as the ultimate “skin stylist.”

Built on the philosophy that healthy, glowing skin complements every outfit and occasion, the experience echoed Malondié’s Follow The Glow creative theme. Inspired by the symbolism of fireflies and the belief that every woman possesses an inner light that guides her journey, the concept aligned naturally with Vaseline Cera-Glow’s celebration of radiant, healthy-looking skin.

Together, the partnership marked the close of Women’s Month and welcomed the arrival of Spring as a season of rebirth, resilience, self-belief, and authentic expression.

Every model who took to the runway embodied the collaboration between fashion and skincare, showcasing Malondié’s SS26 designs complemented by glazed, glowing skin. Vaseline Cera-Glow’s official Glow Dolls—Lerato Kgamanyane, Naliyani Uma, Bakang Mangoenyane, and Robyn-Leigh Mentor—also joined the runway in specially curated looks personally selected by Londeka Buthelezi-Ndaba.

Gugu Gumede Makes a Surprise Runway Debut

The standout highlight of the afternoon was the unexpected reveal of star actress and Glow Doll Gugu Gumede as the event’s mystery runway model.

Fresh off her breakout international success in Netflix’s global hit The Polygamist, Gumede captivated guests as she took to the runway, embodying body confidence and grace. Her surprise appearance added an unforgettable moment to the showcase, generating immediate buzz across media and social platforms.

Throughout the venue, attendees were immersed in bespoke Vaseline Cera-Glow installations, interactive beauty stations focused on skin preparation, and glow-focused content creation spaces. The SS26 collection featured bold, modern silhouettes paired with glazed skin aesthetics, complemented by live musical performances from South African talent, including DJ Mbali Nkosi and Londie London.

Skin as the Ultimate Foundation

The collaboration highlighted the science behind the Vaseline Cera-Glow range, which is powered by Pro-Ceramides to help skin build its own ceramides. Backed by science and suitable for all skin types and skin tones, the range reinforces its position as an essential skincare staple.

“The Malondié x Vaseline Cera-Glow Fashion Experience exceeded every expectation, proving that fashion and skin care are deeply linked,” said Londeka Buthelezi-Ndaba, Founder of Malondié. “Showcasing our SS26 collection alongside Vaseline Cera-Glow allowed us to usher in a new era for South African style; one where confidence, elegance, and healthy glowing skin take centre stage.”

Boipelo Mekgwe, Demand Creation Lead for Vaseline Cera-Glow, added: “As the ultimate skin stylist, Vaseline Cera-Glow believes that healthy-looking skin plays an important role in how women express themselves and show up confidently every day. This collaboration brought together fashion, self-expression and skincare in a way that felt authentic and inspiring.”
